ConstructAhead (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at constructahead.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
We have deliberately built ConstructAhead to work without collecting personal information. You do not need an account, and you do not need to provide any personal details to use any calculator on this site.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us voluntarily
The only personal information we collect directly is what you choose to send through our contact form: your name, your email address, and the content of your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry.
Information stored in your browser
Our calculators save two things locally in your own web browser, using a technology called local storage:
- Your saved calculations — the dimensions and results of calculations you choose to save, so you can return to them later
- Your unit preference — whether you prefer imperial or metric units
This information is stored on your own device. It is not transmitted to us, and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it permanently, and we hold no copy.
PDF export
When you export or share a calculation as a PDF, the file is generated entirely within your own web browser. The calculation is not sent to our servers at any point, and we receive no copy of the exported file.
Information collected automatically
Our web hosting provider processes standard server request data, including your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is a normal part of delivering a website and is used for security and reliability purposes.
2. What we do not collect
To be explicit, ConstructAhead does not:
- Require or offer user accounts, usernames or passwords
- Collect payment information of any kind
- Collect sensitive personal information such as health, financial, biometric or government identification data
- Store your calculations on our servers — everything you calculate stays in your browser
- Sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone
3. How we use information
We use the information described above only to:
- Respond to enquiries you send us
- Operate, maintain and secure the website
- Understand which parts of the site are used, so we can improve them
5. Analytics
We intend to use a web analytics service to understand how visitors use ConstructAhead — for example, which calculators are most used and how visitors arrive at the site. Analytics data is aggregated and used to improve the site.
When analytics is introduced, this policy will be updated to name the provider and describe what is collected, and we will provide any consent mechanism required in your jurisdiction.
6. Advertising
ConstructAhead does not currently display advertising.
We intend to support the site through advertising in future. When we do, advertisements may be served by third-party ad networks, which may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure adverts. This policy will be updated before any advertising is introduced, and we will provide the consent mechanism required in your jurisdiction.
7. Commercial relationships and affiliate links
ConstructAhead does not currently include affiliate links or receive commission on any purchase.
If we introduce affiliate relationships in future, we will disclose them clearly, both in this policy and adjacent to any affiliate link, in line with applicable advertising disclosure requirements.
8. Third-party services
We use the following third-party service providers:
- Namecheap — web hosting and domain services, used to serve the website
- Namecheap — email hosting, used to receive and respond to contact form submissions
We do not currently share personal information with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics providers.
9. Data retention
Contact form enquiries are retained for one month from the date we receive them, after which they are deleted.
Calculations saved in your browser remain until you clear them. We hold no copy and therefore cannot retain, retrieve or delete them on your behalf.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, or to object to it.
Because the only personal information we hold is what you send us through the contact form, exercising these rights is straightforward: email us at hello@constructahead.com and we will action your request.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom: you have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident: you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request deletion. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
11. Children's privacy
ConstructAhead is a construction tool intended for a general adult audience. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. International transfers
ConstructAhead is operated by Codexia Technologies, which is based in Pakistan. Our hosting and email are provided by Namecheap, a US-based provider.
This means that if you access ConstructAhead from outside these locations, the limited information described in this policy may be processed in Pakistan or the United States.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes — such as the introduction of advertising or analytics — will be reflected here before those changes take effect.
