By accessing or using ConstructAhead (constructahead.com), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

ConstructAhead provides free online calculators that estimate construction material quantities — currently covering concrete, tile, fencing and drywall.

The calculators apply standard industry formulas to the dimensions you enter and return estimated quantities, including a waste allowance. No account or payment is required.

This is the most important section of these terms. Please read it carefully.

All results produced by ConstructAhead are estimates. They are calculated from the dimensions you provide, using standard formulas and typical material specifications.

Estimates are provided for planning and budgeting purposes. They are not measurements, quotations, or engineering calculations, and they cannot account for:

• Site-specific conditions, including ground conditions, existing structures, levels and access
• Local building codes, planning requirements, or permit conditions
• Manufacturer-specific product variations in coverage, yield or dimensions
• Structural, load-bearing, drainage or reinforcement requirements
• Errors in the dimensions you enter

We make no representation or warranty that any result is accurate, complete, or suitable for your project.

ConstructAhead does not provide engineering, architectural, surveying, construction, or professional advice of any kind, and using this site does not create any professional relationship between you and us.

Before purchasing materials or beginning any work, you must independently verify quantities, specifications and requirements with a qualified professional and with your material supplier. Structural work in particular should always be designed and checked by a suitably qualified professional.

You are responsible for:

• The accuracy of the dimensions and settings you enter
• Verifying results before ordering materials or starting work
• Complying with all applicable building codes, regulations and permit requirements
• Safe working practices, including contacting utility location services before any excavation

You may: use ConstructAhead freely for personal and commercial project estimating, including as a working contractor.

You may not:

• Use automated systems to scrape, harvest or systematically extract content from the site
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its underlying systems
• Interfere with the operation or availability of the site
• Reproduce or republish substantial portions of our content as your own
• Use the site in any way that is unlawful, or that infringes the rights of others

We may restrict or withdraw access where these terms are breached.

Calculations you save are stored in your own web browser, on your own device. We do not hold a copy. PDF exports are likewise generated entirely within your browser and are never transmitted to us.

This means saved calculations may be lost if you clear your browser data, use a different device or browser, or use private browsing. We cannot recover them. If a calculation matters, export it or record it independently.

The ConstructAhead name, logo, site design, calculator interfaces, and written content are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law.

The results the calculators produce from your inputs are yours to use freely, including commercially — in quotes, estimates and project documents. You do not need our permission and you owe us nothing for them.

You may not copy, reproduce or republish the site’s design, written content or calculator implementations without written permission.

ConstructAhead is provided free of charge. We intend to support it through advertising in future, and may in future introduce affiliate relationships with material suppliers.

Where such relationships exist, we will disclose them clearly. Calculator results are determined by the formulas and your inputs only, and are never influenced by any commercial relationship.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

ConstructAhead is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or its results. This includes but is not limited to: cost of over-ordered or under-ordered materials, additional delivery charges, project delays, wasted labour, remedial work, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
